The Global Rugby Players Foundation (GRPF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Karina Murtagh as Interim CEO.
Karina’s recent experience includes a highly successful tenure as the founding CEO of the Ruth Strauss Foundation, where she led the charity through its critical startup phase, devising their first charity and fundraising strategy to support families facing the death of a parent, and building a cause that still captures the heart of supporters across the world today.
Her unique ability to harness human connections to drive real purpose and deliver positive impact for our mission, is exactly what the GRPF needs as we grow our support for players beyond the game.
Having navigated the unique challenges of scaling a mission-driven startup, Karina is uniquely positioned to refine GRPF's operations and fundraising strategy. Her expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the Foundation is set up for success as it enters its next chapter of supporting players beyond the game.
Over the next six months, Karina will be focusing on strengthening our operations and fundraising, and giving real focus to the impact of our mission to better support players as they transition out of the game.
The Board and the team are excited to welcome her leadership as we accelerate our impact in the coming months. We look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.
The recruitment for the permanent CEO will be handled by Kinsey Sears in the coming months.
